Mission Viejo, CA (March 28, 2003)- Holt Integrated Circuits today announced that it has entered into a partnership with Premier Magnetics, Inc., to become the exclusive provider of Premier’s complete line of interface transformers used in conjunction with MIL-STD-1553 transceivers for military data bus applications. The partnership will permit Holt to offer a complete transceiver/transformer solution, with delivery of both transceivers and transformers from stock.
Interface transformers are a required part of all MIL-STD-1553 data bus installations. A transformer is needed to couple the transceiver to the data bus. This typically requires designers to purchase the transceiver from one supplier and the transformer from another. The new partnership between Holt and Premier allows both components to be purchased together from a single vendor, which ensures customer design specifications will be met, and that all needed components can be delivered rapidly. Premier’s MIL-STD-1553 transformers now offered by Holt are available in all popular packaging configurations, including an ultra-small footprint measuring only 0.400” x 0.400”. All are fully compatible with Holt’s complete line of MIL-STD-1553 5V and 3.3V transceivers.
