Saturday, March 2, 2002

Mission Viejo, CA - Holt's new HI-844x series of ARINC 429 multiple Line Receiver ICs operate with either 3.3V or 5V power supplies. The new products are offered in 20-pin SSOP packages for the quad receiver configurations (HI-8444 and HI-8445) and in a 44-pin Plastic Quad Flatpack (PQFP) for the HI-8448 octal receiver. The HI-8444 and HI-8448 also include a test mode that allows users to override the external ARINC 429 inputs during system self-test.

"Avionics systems customers are rapidly moving to 3.3V for new designs and need ARINC 429 components that easily interface to today’s 3.3V micro-controllers and FPGAs," says David Mead, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Holt, "The new HI-8448 product has eight ARINC 429 line receivers in a single package making it the most board-space efficient product available for systems that must monitor multiple buses."
